Finding Aids Notes
The first finding aid for the Moodie, Strickland, Vickers, Ewing family fonds (previously known as The Patrick Hamilton Ewing Collection of Moodie-Strickland-Vickers-Ewing Family Papers) was created in 1987 and an addendum written for the second accession in 1992. These finding aids have been used by scholars pursuing major research about Susanna Moodie and Catharine Parr Traill, and references to the finding aids are found within scholarly literature. These finding aids have not been redescribed according to the Rules for Archival Description (RAD), though they may be revised in the future. The present forms of the finding aids continue to be effective research tools which describe the contents of the collection in an accessible manner.
