Retour à Spiritualism Album
Texte integrale du note de Catherine Mary Moodie Vickers
"I Catherine Mary Moodie Vickers eldest child of John Wedderburn Dunbar Moodie and Susanna Moodie his wife. Having carefully read over the foregoing pages & having seen with my own eyes the perfect faith my dear father had in Spiritualism, am convinced that he was in every way truthful, and sincere. If he was deceived others were responsible. I intended destroying this book, but have refrained from doing so in to-to. But have cut from it certain communications written by my sister Agnes Dunbar Moodie (then Mrs. Fitz-Gibbon) now Mrs. Chamberlin - as they almost all were relating to private family matters, advice regarding Father's office difficulties. Homeopathic medical prescriptions etc. All of which my dear Father lived to see the fallacy of. The intention was doubtless good. I have nothing to say to the contrary. We all may have deserved the censures -- but I see no reason why the evidence of one alone should stand, and for her sake and for my own -- our children & nephews & nieces I have cut them all from this book -- If I have done wrong I alone am responsible.
