The following is an annotated bibliography of Polish-Canadian periodicals (1908-2005) available at Library and Archives Canada (LAC). Since December 1941 organ of the Association to Aid Poland and the Allied Countries / Stowarzyszenie Pomocy Polsce i Aliantom (Polish Workers and Farmers Association / Polish People's Association under a new name). In 1945 Association to Aid Poland and the Allied Countries was renamed Polish Democratic Association / Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Demokratycznego w Kanadzie A communist newspapaer. Followed strictly the directives of the Polish government (post WWII).

Notes:

Probably replaced the periodical My Som Tu. The purpose of Odsiecz, a military periodical, was to help form a Polish army in America, and inform about the life of the Polish Army in Canada. The articles and stories talk about the Polish Army stationed in other parts of the world and are aimed at motivating young Poles in Canada and U.S. to join the Polish Army.

  • Community news
  • Short profiles of soldiers who were promoted
  • Names and some addresses included in wedding announcements and replies to readers' letters
  • Many photographs but most individuals in those photographs are not identified
