Scope and content

Sub-series consists of a numerically arranged series of subject files created by the Dominion Lands Branch and dealing with Métis land claims. They contain correspondence, applications for scrip, powers of attorney and certificates for scrip. The files are arranged numerically from H.B.7 to H.B.9579. Note: the original oversized items in the following volumes or files have been moved to horizontal drawers: Vol. 203, File 305076 (Holograph Poster - Allan Royal Mail Line - "Free Grants of Land in Manitoba" - [Half completed]) is now located in Vol. 3175.
