Scope and content

Engraving depicting the coronation of Queen Victoria in Westminster Abbey in 1838. The youthful Queen is seated on a throne in the centre of the scene, in the process of being crowned. She is surrounded by a crowd of finely dressed men and women, among whom are numerous bishops. Former location note: Drawer 72F

Physical condition note
There is a significant amount of spotting on the print, especially around the borders. Print is dirty, and there are scratches and marks from framing around the edges, as well as some water marks at the bottom.
