Item is a double-sided page from the weekly magazine, "The Mirror of Literature, Amusement, and Instruction" published in London by J. Limbird (Vol. XXIV, no. 679). The page features a reproduction of an engraving which depicts the American steamboat "Belvidere". Author Frances Trollope travelled in this boat along the Mississippi River, from New Orleans to Memphis. She described her travels in America in her 1832 book, "Domestic Manners of the Americans". An article accompanies the image, describing Mrs. Trollope's voyage.
