Series consists of 10 colour lithographic posters from the set of 13 entitled "Le musée de sires, feuille de Caricatures Politiques", by Auguste Roubille, published in Paris by the Librairie Parisienne Arnaud et Cie. Auguste Jean-Baptiste Roubille (1872-1955) was an engraver and a painter (he did café murals), a book illustrator, and a designer of posters and dioramas. Beginning in 1897, he worked for many of the Paris humour magazines. This set of images, jokingly titled "Gueulerie contemporaine", satirizes various international rulers, including Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, Czar Nicholas II, Abdul Hamid II, and Emile Loubet, president of the French Republic.
