Biography / Administrative history

Margaret Ham Lawrence, pioneer, who was born at St. Ours, Que., worked as a tailor from ca. 1863 until her marriage to Henry Lawrence in 1869. In 1879, she moved with her family to homestead near Plevna, Ont. In 1886, they joined an Anglican mission at Fort Vermillion and homestead in the Peace River area.
