Scope and content
Series consists of Mackenzie King's personal financial records and correspondence relating to his finances. Included among the records are finance files and financial statements which summarize King's accumulated wealth. King's extensive investment portfolio is documented through investment files and bank records. Additional files pertain to his office and travel expenses. Personal expenses are detailed in the finance files, as well as in his personal account files. Finally the series contains considerable correspondence on the creation and management of the Laurier House Trust fund, a fund established to pay for the upkeep of Laurier House during King's tenure. The Laurier House correspondence contains both financial information and details about the appearance and condition of the house.
