Scope and content

Series consists of case files concerning arbitration boards, constituted under the Ontario Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act, on which Walsh served as a member. The unions involved included the Canadian Union of Public Employees, the Service Employees International Union, and the Ontario Nurses' Association; the employers included Ontario hospitals and nursing homes. The files usually include Walsh's notes and correspondence, briefs and evidence presented to the board, collective agreements and awards of other arbitration boards cited by the two sides, and the award of the board.
