Scope and content

Sub-series consists of letterpress copies of letters written by Thompson or his secretary. They are complete for the period indicated with the exception of two gaps, one from 25 July 1882 to 10 November 1885 and the other from 21 April 1886 to 9 July 1886 (letterbook B).

Volumes 225 to 272 have been withdrawn from circulation. Researchers are requested to use the microfilm, reels C-10571 to C-10576 and C-10695 to C-10705.
