Scope and content

Correspondence, both British and internal, together with memoranda, reports, returns and other supporting documents of the various military and civilian departments and boards within the Canada Command, 1785-1883. These include the correspondence and supporting documents of the offices of the Commanding Royal Engineer, the Principal Medical Officer, the Commissary General, the Storekeeper General, the Deputy-Adjutant General, the Quartermaster General, and miscellaneous correspondence and reports of the Commander of the Forces. Volumes 1915-1919 were added to this series in 1982 and are not yet available on microfilm. All other volumes have been withdrawn from circulation.
