Scope and content
Series consists of records created and maintained by units within the Centennial Commission's Planning Branch. RG69M 890705 consists of copies of architectural drawings for 72 projects submitted to the Centennial Commission, which had put out the call for projects to commemorate the centennial of Canada's confederation in 1967. The drawings depict cultural and recreation centres across Canada; included are archives, libraries, museums, auditoriums, government administrative buildings, medical centres, theatres, youth centres, athletic facilities, and parks. The majority of the projects present in this collection originated in Quebec but all the provinces and territories are represented.

Biography / Administrative history
The Planning Branch was responsible for the preparation and implementation of the programs and projects considered necessary for a successful Centennial celebration. The Branch received and evaluated thousands of suggestions before a suitable program was approved by the Board of Directors. RG69 General Inventory
