Series consists of reports, studies, monographs, manuals, and similar full-length documents (print, near-print and manuscript) analysing Immigration policy, operations, and history. These records were received individually from the Immigration programme at various dates. They include: miscellaneous policy studies and historical and statistical reports on various immigration-related topics, 1964-1975,(Vols. 679, 735; folders 1-6, 8, 10-15, 736; folder 5, 737; folders 19-28); a report on the history, organization and functions of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, dealing with the department as a whole and with three of its branches (Citizenship, Citizenship Registration, and Immigration), prepared for a departmental management study, September 1964 (Vol. 737; folders 19-20); a report on the history of the European Information Programme of the Department of Manpower and Immigration, 1969 (Vol. 679; 28 pp.; reel C-10680); a study on overseas counselling of immigrants and their settlement and adjustment in Canada, by the Department of Manpower and Immigration, n.d. (Vol. 679; 27 pp.; reel C-10680); a records management manual for the Immigration programme, ca. 1964-65 (Vol. 735; binder 7); Sun Yat Sen's U.S. immigration file (Vol. 1096); a report on preliminary studies into illegal Chinese immigration, 1964 (Vol. 1096); Minister's permit forms, 1965 (Vol. 1096); a report on security of information in the Public Service of Canada, Privy Council Office, 1956 (Vol. 1096). Individual items in volumes 735-737 were placed in folders by the National Archives.
