Additional information
The records in this accession relate to the Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and activities carried out by the Rescue Coordination Centre Edmonton. More specifically the records consists of statistical summaries of actions taken by the RCC, Reports of SAR Operations (titled by the name of the individual for whom the unit was searching), communications and maps of operations, monthly logs of communications at the RCC and reports on flying times.
Custodial history
These records were transferred from RCC Edmonton to the Directorate of History in 1976 and were part of the Document Collection as 76/295. They were subsequently transferred to the National Archives from the Directorate of History. At the time of transfer there were sixteen boxes. On verification, the three files in box sixteen were moved to box fifteen, so that this accession currently contains only fifteen containers.
