The series includes manuscripts of chapters for a biography of Franz Johnston, and fragments, by Paul Rodrik, 1967-1980, and Mary Rodrik, [1969-1988]; typescript of the first draft, "Frank H. (Franz) Johnston: a joyous adventure" submitted to McClelland and Stewart 1980; typescripts of excerpts 1988; and an incomplete typed draft of the biography in four volumes entitled "Franz Johnston: a rebel recognized" (volume 1: 1888-1922; volume 2: 1922-1927; volume 3: 1927-1939; and volume 4: 1939-1940).
