Biography / Administrative history
This committee was the tripartite body formed as a result of the Quebec Agreements of August 1943. The committee, with the U.S., the U.K., and Canada as members, was responsible for Allied policy on atomic weapons and strategic materials. The body continued to function in the postwar period, but as the political atmosphere became more restricted so did the flow of information. By the late 1950's it had been replaced by other consultative bodies. RG25 General Inventory
