Scope and content
Series consists of records relating to the League of Nations' Monetary and Economic Conference held in London in 1933 which W.C. Clark, the deputy-Minister of Finance, attended as Canadian representative. Included as well are background papers on silver currency prepared for the Canadian delegation at the Imperial Economic Conference of Ottawa in 1932. These records have become a part of the Department of Finance fonds because of the department's role as a central agency whose terms of reference extend to financial matters across all government activities.
