Scope and content
Sub-series consists of copies of transactions contained in two bound volumes and include documents relating to the incorporation and management of the Columbia Storage Power Exchange in accordance with the terms of the Canadian Entitlement Exchange Agreements. In addition there are notes and memoranda exchanged between the government of Canada and the United States and documents relating to the agreement between the federal government and British Columbia. These records have become a part of the Department of Finance fonds because of the department's role as a central agency whose terms of reference extend to financial matters across all government activities.

Biography / Administrative history
Following the Treaty of 1961 between Canada and the U.S.A. for the co-operative development of the water resources of the Columbia River Basin and the attendant Canadian Entitlement Exchange Agreement of 1964, the Columbia Storage Power Exchange was incorporated in 1964 "to make a single purchase or part thereof" of the Canadian entitlement to downstream power benefits within the United States.
