Scope and content

Series consists of various accounting records from the Department of National Defence relating to internal arrangements for fiscal and supply transactions. Many of these records originated in the office of the DND Chief Accountant. These records have become a part of the Department of Finance fonds because of the department's role as a central agencey whose terms of reference extend to financial matters across all government activities.
