Scope and content
Series consists of records related to the victualling of Loyalists in Upper Canada between 1783 and 1802. The series includes lists of Loyalists who were given assistance in Cataracoui, New Johnstown, the Detroit River area, the Murray District, and the London, Niagara and Western Districts. This series was a part of a series of unrelated miscellaneous records which were found among the body of records transferred to the Public Archives by the Department of Finance in 1936. (In the 1954 edition of the inventory of the records of the Department of Finance, they were called the C-35 series).
