Biography / Administrative history
The Household and Institutional Statistics Field was established in February 1973 when it absorbed some of the functions of the former Socio-economic Statistics Branch. The unit produced statistics on health, welfare, crime, education, science, culture, government finance, consumer income and expenditure and employment and unemployment.
