Documentation of the career of Richard Sterling Finnie, particularly in northern Canada. Expeditions to the Eastern Arctic in 1924, 1925, 1926, 1928-1929, and 1937; Western Arctic, 1930-1931; and Mackenzie District, 1934 and 1939. CANOL and Alaska Highway construction, produced while employed by Bechtel Corporation, 1942-1944. Trips to the Yukon and North West Territories, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, and 1978 and on tour with the N.W.T. Commissioner, 1976. Still taken during the filming of "Wandering through French Canada", Quebec, 1935. Trip to Paris, 1936. Photographs from his father, Oswald Sterling Finnie, of Dawson and the Yukon, 1898-1908, 1922 and 1929; family activities in Ottawa and Carp, Ont., and in Quebec, ca. 1920's. Documentation of C.
