Scope and content

Series consists of records from the first and second meetings of the continuing working sessions of the Federal-Provincial Conferences on the Canadian Constitution. These files include copies of Premiers' opening statements; briefing papers prepared by the provinces on the subject of official languages, the judiciary, taxing and spending powers, and fundamental rights. Also included are copies of the verbatim reports of the conferences and a copy of the Canadian Constitutional Charter 1971.
