Scope and content
Sub-series consists of records from the Information Division Chief, the Associate Chief and the Information Coordinator, as well as printed material. Included are speeches delivered by John Fisher, subject correspondence files of the Commission's projects, drafts of the "Centennial Bulletin" and "John Fisher Reports", press releases, advertising and biographical sketches. Also included are the files of William (Bill) McGuire (Volume 817). Sub-series also contains the photographic records contracted by the Centennial Commission. The photographs document events, people and places across Canada involved in the Centennial celebrations, including the Centennial Train, Centennial Caravan, July 1st celebrations, the visit of Queen Elizabeth, the Pan-American Games, the Dominion-Provincial Conference, 1961, and the Charlottetown Conference, 1961 and many other related events. Architectural drawings consist of copies for 4 projects submitted to the Centennial Commission. They include a cultural centre and library in Maniwaki, Quebec; a centennial project building in Lancaster, New Brunswick; the proposed entrance to a centennial park (unknown location); and a planetarium (unknown location).

The Information Division was responsible for the dissemination of information related to activities promoted by the Commission. The main officers in the Division were: the Chief, J.
