Photographs from the Executive Services office of the Ontario Region, depicting a variety of subjects, including: DIAND Minister Pierre H. Cadieux signing ceremony with Chippewas of Rama Chief Norman Stinson, Aug 15, 1989; Native Economic Summit, Toronto, 1986; All-Ontario Chiefs conference, 1980; business, industry, lumbering, sawmill, logging on Indian reserves and farming development projects - Tyhaven farm, Tyendinaga, Ont., (dairy farm owned and operated by Bill Grant, Chief of the reserve); Community Housing, various locations: John Smith / Muskoday, Sask. / Cree; Whitefish, Ont., / Ojibway; Goodfish Lake, Alta / Cree; Rocky Point; Wikwemikong, Ont., / Ojibway; Milbrook, N.S. / Micmac; Musqeam Band, Vancouver, B.C.; native recreation; Native peoples pavilions at Canadian National Exhibition - Osaka, Japan and Expo 67 under construction, Montreal; Ojibway community housing AIN-KE-JIG; Hartt Commission, and photographs of various reserves ca. 1978 including Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Moose Factory, Moosonee, and Christian Island; Chief Isaac and Queen Elizabeth; and other miscellaneous items. Various Indian Chiefs include Georgina Island Chief Bill McCue, Christian Island Chief Rod Monague, Moose Deer Point Chief Ed Williams, Justice Minister Doug Lewis; slide show "Native Life today" produced by the Ojibway & Cree Cultural Centre, Timmins, Ont.; Tom Longboat Trophy and medal.

Original extent note

5 containers. Approx. 4000 b&w and colour negatives, prints and slides relating to administrative and personnel activities in the regional office. Included many photographs of personnel, taken by personnel at various staff events collected for the interoffice-interdepartmental newsletters; copies of photographs from other departments; stock shots of native people and culture; training slides which did not originate with this office; and duplicate material. 17 audio cassettes and 3 audio reels have been transferred to Audio-Visual.
