Album contains snapshots documenting personnel, equipment and operations of the Hudson Strait Expedition of 1927-28, and the Arctic life-style of the staff and Inuit on and near the bases. Views include Spring ice break-up, Wakeham Bay, NWT, Base 'C', temporary hospital during Inuit flu epidemic, schooner 'Moiso' and ship 'Montcalm'. Subjects include Fokker aircraft being transported on Komatiks, first flight on floats, Inuit women cleaning, stretching and drying polar bear skin, building a kayak, a whale hunt. Sports and amusements including kayak racing, wheelbarrow race, pie-eating, three-legged race, tug-of-war, all participants were Inuit. Photographer is likely Wing Commander Frank S. Coghill, RCAF, a participant in the 1927-8 Expedition.unknown.
