Scope and content
Album of photographs relating to the construction of the CANOL oil pipeline in the NWT by Bechtel Engineering and Construction Co. Ltd. from 1942 onwards. Album contains photographs taken at the Mackenzie River, Norman Wells, CANOL Camp, Edmonton, Prince Rupert, Skagway, Carcross, Whitehorse, Peace River, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John. Included are many scenic views, views of ships loading and unloading, railways, wooden railways, construction, airplanes, airfield, Norman Wells refinery and workers, buildings etc. Photographs by Richard Finnie.
