Scope and content

This album is a portfolio containing seven portfolios on 14 "Men of the Day." Each portfolio contains a brief essay and portrait on each of the two notable Canadian figures, late 19th century. "Hommes du Jour" is the french version and is divided into two portfolio cases. This volume of Hommes du Jour includes: Sir Richard Cartwright, Hon. A.R. Angers, Hon. E.A. Kirkpatrick, Sir Alexander Lacoste, Sir Donald Smith, Hon. W.R. Meredith, Sir Leonard Tilly, W.C. Van Horne, Hon. L.R. Masson, Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper, Louis Frenchette, John George Bourndt, A.G. Blair, Joseph Marmette.
