Scope and content

This album is a portfolio case containing seven portfolios on 14 "Men of the Day." Each portfolio contains a brief essay and portrait of each of two notable Canadian figures of the late 19th century. "Hommes du Jour" is the french version of "Men of the Day". This volume of "Hommes du Jour" includes: Sir J.A. MacDonald, Sir Wilfred Laurier, Edward Blake, J.A. Chapleau, A.B. Routhier, Principal Grant, Sir Charles Tupper, Honore Mercier, Cardinal Taschereau, Hon. Oliver Mowat, Hon. J.J.C. Thompson, Hon. J.A. Oiunet, Dalton McCarthy.
