Scope and content

Album contains photographs of land settlement and farming activites on the prairies. Views include: port and grain elevators at Port Arthur and Fort William, Ontario; packing plants, brick and cement works, Edmonton, Alberta; hogs and range horses at Medicine Hat, Alberta; sheep, farms, a fair at Brandon, Manitoba; exhibition stadium, Winnipeg, Manitoba; views of grain fields, farms, farm houses and buildings, harvesting, binding and threshing of grain at various places in Saskatchewan, including locations at or near Saskatoon, Davidson, Regina and Dundurn; cattle and milking cows near Rosthern and Scott, Saskatchewan; settlers and land seekers from the United States moving mainly to Tramping Lake District, Saskatchewan; disking and harrowing with steam tractor.
