Biography / Administrative history
The Manitoba Superintendency was created ca. 12 May 1876 and was responsible for the Bands in the regions relating to Treaty 1, 2, 3 and 5. These bands included the following: Assiniboine (1882-1885); Clandeboye (1878-1896); Portage la Prairie (1878-1896); Lake Manitoba (1878-1896); Assabaskasing (1879-1896); Coutcheeching (1879-1896); Savanne (1882-1896); Norway House (1879-1896); and The Pas (1884-1896).
