Album contains cabinet and carte-de-visite portraits including children and religious portraits, copies of paintings and engravings, collectable cartes of famous people (Queen Victoria, Prince of Wales etc.), Notman Group, unidentified Quebec house and portraits of M. Bellemari and I. Desaulniers. The rest of the photographs are unidentified. Photographers include J. Leveille, N.C. Lalonde, Archambault, O. Desmarais, L.E. Desmarais, Desmarais & Pauze, Charles Dion, James Inglis, Mitchell, A. Bazinet, A. Boisseau, J. Hampden Field, T.C. Doane, J.O'Reilly, H. Dulaz, J. Rivet, William Notman, Richer, J.G. Parks, Mme C. Civalier, J.B. Livernois, Livernois & Bienvenu, J.E. Livernois, G.P. Tanton, Pittaway & Jarvis, Miss Lockwood, Stiff Bros., S. Bourassa, J.J.E. Sauageau, Dupont & L'Heureux, P. Hines and European photographers. The album cover is very ornate; black lacquer with delicate inlayed design and painted garden with delicate gold tooling.
