Scope and content
Album contains albumen prints by Mayo and Weed of Chicago. Entitled "Alaska" it contains topographical, architectural and ethnographic studies of Colorado, Utah, Alaska and various locations along the Canadian West Coast. Locations include: Denver, Manitou Springs, the Garden of the Gods, Salt Lake City, Fort Wrangel, Sitka, Portland, Eagle Canyon, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Taku Bay, Fort Simpson, Alert Bay, Banff and Winnipeg. Subjects include: Muir Glacier, Taku Glacier, group portraits taken on the trip, interior and exterior shots of S.S. Islander, Queen, Warspite and warship Baltimore; views of CPR instalation in Banff and D&RC Railway; Alaskan Indians and totem poles.
