Biography / Administrative history

The Burns Lake Agency office was located in Burns Lake, BC, between 1956 and 1968. The agency was created in 1956 through the splitting into two of the responsibilities of the Stuart Lake Agency. The agents were W.J. Desmarais (1957-1964) and R.M. McIntyre (1964-1969+). The Burns Lake Agency was re-united in 1968 with the Stuart Lake Agency to form the Lakes District office.
