Series consists of paylists created and/or maintained by the Portage La Prairie Agency. The series includes records of annuity payments for the years 1884 to 1936 (Vols. 1232-1234, 1712, 1763-1770), as well as interest paylists covering the years 1923 to 1925 (Vols. 1253-1262).

Biography / Administrative history
The Portage La Prairie Agency was responsible for the bands in the Treaty 2 region of Manitoba. The first agent was appointed on 1 January 1877. In 1968 the Portage La Prairie Agency merged with the Dauphin Agency to form the Brandon District. Regional Administrative Histories, 1958-1990, (Bands, Agencies, Districts).
