Biography / Administrative history
The Vancouver Immigration Reception Centre was an office responsible for the reception, counselling, and assistance of recent immigrants who required special services. These immigrants were notably but not exclusively refugees, previously stateless persons, and those arriving under assisted passage arrangements. The office was located on Seymour Street.
