Biography / Administrative history
Le Centre d'immigration du Canada (CIC) à Calgary était un centre de responsabilité et un bureau d'enregistrement pour l'admission des immigrants et le contrôle des irrégularités en matière d'immigration sur le plan local. Le CIC de Calgary était le premier contact en Alberta pour la plupart des nouveaux immigrants et pour les personnes désireuses de parrainer l'immigration de parents à l'étranger. Comme c'est le cas pour les autres CIC des autres villes canadiennes, le CIC de Calgary a également pris en charge d'autres responsabilités telles qu'enquêter sur les irrégularités en matière d'immigration et représenter le ministère lors d'audiences d'enquêtes formelles ayant trait à des revendications refusées, des expulsions et des exclusions.
