Scope and content
The series consists of sound recordings containing oral history interviews with forty-six (46) B.C. Native Indian Leaders recorded by David Neel for his portfolio and exhibition of portrait photographs entitled "Our Chiefs and Elders". In two of these sound recordings, the artist has also discussed his work and local events. In the exhibition, printed excerpts from these recorded interviews were displayed adjacent to photographs of the particular person interviewed.
