Biography / Administrative history

The 11th Canadian Infantry Brigade was part of the 4th Canadian Division and was formed from Battalions recruited in British Columbia (54th and 102nd Battalions), Toronto (75th Battalion) and Montreal (87th Battalion). The brigade was commanded successively by Colonel C.A. Smart (January 1916 to February 1916), and Brigadier-Generals F.O.W. Loomis (May 1916 to July 1916) and V.W. Odlum (July 1916 to June 1919). The 11th Canadian Infantry Brigade was demobilized in June 1919.
