Biography / Administrative history
The 4th Canadian Infantry Works Company was organised in September 1918 from the 2nd Canadian Infantry Works Battalion and was commanded by Captain S. Jennings. The Company worked on road construction under the supervision of road construction companies of the Royal Engineers and on the light railways under the supervision of the 1st and 2nd Canadian tramways Companies. The 4th Canadian Infantry Works Company was demobilised at Aubin St. Vaast in January 1919.
