Scope and content

Sub-series consists of a list of veterans claiming land grants for their services during the War of 1812. Grants were made available to veterans by an Order in Council of 24 June 1829 but the offer expired in 1830. It was renewed by a proclamation of 20 February 1844 with the closing date set at 1 March 1845.
