Scope and content

This series is comprised of central registry files created at headquarters and in the various divisions and detachments of the former Security Service of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; the files were later inherited and maintained by its successor, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. The files contain correspondence, memoranda, reports, briefs, clippings and other printed material related to individuals and organizations involved in the labour movement including protests, demonstrations and strikes in Canada. Similar material documents separatist activity and infiltration into various sectors of Canadian society.
