Collection consists of photographs, ca.1860-ca.1869, depicting various structures and geographical features in the Ottawa, Ontario area, including the Parliament Buildings, most of which are by, or attributed to, Elihu Spencer and Samuel McLaughlin. The collection also contains woodcut prints, 1860-1864, cut from issues of the Illustrated London News, the Penny Illustrated and Harpers Weekly, depicting various locations, scenes and events in Canada, including the visit of the Prince of Wales.
