Fonds consists of photographs of meetings and activities of various Ukranian organizations and the Ukranian community in Canada, mainly in the West. Also depicted is the career and activities of Dr. George Dragan, M.L.A., as well as portraits of Dr. Dragan and his family.

Biography / Administrative history
George Ernest Dragan, doctor, Liberal member of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly (1934-1938), was born at Pleasant Home, Manitoba in 1899. He was educated at Manitoba public schools. Mr. Dragan attended agricultural college in Winnipeg, took his junior years in medicine at the University of Manitoba and completed his medical degree at McGill University. He and his wife, Rose, had three children: Ernest, William and Sonia. Dr. Dragan established his medical practise in Saskatoon in 1926 and worked promoting Ukranian culture. He took thousands of pictures depicting the development of Ukranian communities in Saskatchewan. Dr. Dragan died on January 29, 1965.
