Photographic material depicts soldiers from Sarcee Military Camp at Calgary Industrial Exhibition, 1915; Brigadier-General E.A. Cruikshank, District Officer Commanding Military District No. 13, Calgary, Alberta; unidentified Canadian Lieutenant; Lt. Col J. McKinery; portrait of an unidentified Canadian Officer; Lt. Col. R.L. Boyle, 10th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force; Canadian Officer W.W. Nasmyth; views of Sarcee Camp, Alberta; and probable view of San Diego, California. Also included is a photograph of four people standing in front of a rail fence with five human skulls on the ground in the forefront; a group of men engaged in archaeological excavation; a military group; Janet Carnochan, Canadian historical writer active with the Niagara Historical Society (inscribed verso: For Mrs. Cruikshank, Christmas 1915, from J.C.); General Sir William Dillon Otter at Queenston Heights, 21 June 1906; First Hospital, Niagara Falls, Ontario; portrait of General Ernest Alexander Cruikshank; portrait of Douglas Brymer, Dominion Archivist; Brigadier General E.A.
