Scope and content
Series consists of proclamations from Quebec, Upper and Lower Canada, the Province of Canada and Canada. A proclamation is a document whereby some state matter is given public notice or generally made known ("proclaimed"). For example, proclamations are issued to proclaim some statutes enacted by the Parliament of Canada. Generally, proclamations appear in condensed form in the Canada Gazette.
