Scope and content

Sub-series consists of writs issued by the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery commanding electoral officers that the election of a member to serve in the House of Commons is to be held and that the names of nominated candidates are to be certified by the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery. Volume 306 contains memoranda relating to the dissolution of Parliament, the issuance of writs and the summoning of a new Parliament. The writs are arranged alphabetically within each year.
