Additional information
Records in this accession consist of case files from the HQ5 series at Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Each case file contains detailed correspondence and supporting documentation (such as photocopies passports and reference letters) relating to the admission, refusal, exclusion or deportation of the individual involved. Records pertain to both persons claiming refugee status and those making applications for permanent residence. Several cases contain records of appeal hearings and transcripts from the Immigration Appeal Board, Refugee Status Advisory Committee as well as the Federal and/or Supreme Courts.
