Series consists of the papers of John Sumner Drinkwater Jr., son of Richard John Sumner (R.J.S.) Drinkwater and Kate (Knight) Drinkwater. John Drinkwater Jr. was a notable figure in the Orillia area and served as a Deputy Reeve and member of the Conservative Association of Orillia. Materials include correspondence, clippings, notes on local history, and other miscellaneous items. The correspondence includes letters from various officials to whom Drinkwater had written, as well as letters sent by Drinkwater.
